On behalf of our client, a leading company in the travel & tourism industry, we seek to recruit an experienced and high caliber professional for the position of Senior Accountant, to be based in Nicosia.
The Position
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will have the overall responsibility for the Accounting department. Key responsibilities of the position include among others to:
- Handle of all financial transactions and transactions approval within designated limits
- Perform, review and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Ensure that all the local tax, statutory and labor law requirements are fully met
- Monitor the company’s budget and prepare financial and management accounts
- Maintain accurate cash flow management
- Coordinate the annual external audit
- Liaise with banks, clients and external advisors
- Supervise the payroll process
- Maintain all required finance and administration files
Requirements
- LCCI Higher or AAT
- University degree in Accounting & Finance will be considered an advantage
- At least 8 years of related experience in an accounting department
- Previous working experience in the travel & tourism industry will be considered an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and strong analytical ability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent computer literacy
- Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
